Aspose.Words Exporter

Description

Aspose.Words Exporter allows WordPress site administrators to export posts and pages to Microsoft Word DOCX, DOC and ODT documents. This module demonstrates very powerful Export feature provided by Aspose.Words Cloud. It adds a simple bulk action in the drop down Export to DOCX and as soon as the bulk action is called, it exports all selected posts to Microsoft Word (DOCX/DOC/ODT) documents.

Installation

  1. Install the plugin into your website as explained in WordPress documentation.
  2. Click Enable Free and Unlimited Access. No Sign Up required.

Requirements

  1. Officially supported versions of WordPress (5.3 and above).
  2. Officially supported versions of PHP (7.2, 7.3 and 7.4).
  3. Outbound access to https://api.aspose.cloud/ (for REST API calls).
  4. Inbound access from https://api.aspose.cloud/ (for images only).

FAQ

Do I need to Sign Up on aspose.cloud?

No.

How many posts can I export. Are there any limits

You can export unlimited number of posts and pages for free. There are no restrictions and limits.

What is App SID? What should I know about it?

App SID is a unique identifier associated with your WordPress website. Our support staff may need it to diagnose issues on your website, if any. You can find it on plugin settings page.

How to display custom fields?

Support for custom fields is available via Twig templates. Read the post.twig and posts.twig template files for more details.

Why exported document does not have images?

In order for the images to work, your WordPress website must be hosted on a public server and be accessible over the internet. Hotlink protection must also be disabled.

I use this on WordPress 5.7.2. and export all my texts because I usually write directly in the WP app or via the dashboard. Not tested with this version of WP but it definitely works like a charm <3

I use the plugin to export posts, filtered through another plugin, to a Word-file. I apply a custom set of styles then, which is possible because Aspose exports the styles along with the content. I might have to rearrange some pictures and I’m done. This is exactly what I was looking for.
