This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.


  1. Upload the plugin files to the `/wp-content/plugins/easy-countdown-timer directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
  3. Use the Settings->Easy Countdown Timer creen to configure the plugin


How do I configure a countdown timer?

After activating the plugin, to generate a shortcode, You go to a post or page and you will notice a blue “Insert Timer” button at the top of the TinyMCE editor. Press it. a popup will appear where you get to customize it.

What do I do after Configuring?

You just click the “insert Shortcode” button at the bottom left to add your shortcode to your editor. The popup should close and then you just update your post/page and view it to see the timer.

How to add the timer anywhere?

use the function ect_custom_timer(:id) where :id is the id of the timer Here’s an example (add this code anywhere in your theme files where you want it to show or where you want the timer to show in the code of other plugins:

You can customize it as you want, I really like you can change the font size and color of the numbers, and the sibling text. Really nice. I especially like the datepicker. Didn't see that before. Also, the custom text, the sibling text, the fact that you can change it as you want, really nice! It's a very useful plugin
