- Expire tags allows you to add a date to a tag to expire it. When the date is reached the tag is no longer associated with the post, but the tag is not removed and the post is not deleted.
- This could be used to display a custom query by tag of important issues or upcoming events.
Using the plugin
- Go to to ‘Expire tags’ submenu in ‘Settings’ and you will find the tag list.
- Select the expiration date and it will be asociated to your content.
- You can remove the expiration clicking on the ‘Expire’ button.

- Unzip expire-tags.zip and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Visit ‘Settings’ -> ‘Expire tags’
