This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest three major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

Noindex Password-Protected Posts

Description

This plugin does one thing and one thing only. It adds the text <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> to the header of any password-protected post. Google and all other respectable search engines will leave your password-protected pages out of their search results.

Installation

Extract the zip file and just drop the contents in the wp-content/plugins/ directory of your WordPress installation and then activate the plugin from plugins page.

Still works on 4.9.4. This is a great easy fix to a problem that WordPress should of fixed years ago!

Such a simple plugin that should be a default feature in Wordpress. Yoast SEO has this feature in their premium product. Thumbs up Kyle!
