Installation

TurboTabs can be installed in two different ways:

  • Via WordpPress uploader
  • or via FTP Client

1- Steps to follow to install plugin via WordPress uploader

  • go to WordPress admin panel and click on “plugins” from the dashboard menu.
  • Then from Plugins -> Add New -> Upload -> Choose file -> and then choose turbotabs.zip and press Open-> Install Now -> Activate Plugin

2- Steps to follow to install plugin via FTP

  • Unzip the file
  • Upload unziped turbotabs folder to your WordPress plugins directory (/wp-content/plugins/)
  • Activate from WordPress menu Plugins section

FAQ

How To Re-Order Tabs

There is no native function which does that. If you want to re-order your tabs, you can use Post Types Order Plugin for example. This will allow you to easilly manipulate with the tabs order

Great-Looking Tabs, Great Support from Developer

Tried out TurboTabs and after seeing how nice the free version looked on my Blog, decided to upgrade to the Pro version. Had an issue with images not displaying properly in one of the tabs - Posted a message to the developer's Forum and he responded quickly and solved the problem. Very satisfied with the looks, ease of setup and support 🙂 --Zaphod

I've used the Pro version because I wanted a specific way of presentation which wasn't available with the free version. The plugin is very customizable from the interface,some functionality(ordering tabs)is missing and you need to install a 3rd party free plugin. In my case I needed some special customizations beyond the plugin's user interface capabilities and I needed the help of the developer who was there any time I wanted his support.

Could be nice if customizations would save

Customizations won't save so you can't really do anything with it. It seems to work by creating a custom post type which saves your "group" of tabs as custom fields. Then you can call the group via shortcode. Dev is on the right track to having a nice plugin but the inability to save your customizations renders it useless. Another note, you can't select colors by inserting the hex value which makes it impossible to correctly match your themes colors (you can only select via color wheel). Once these couple things are updated, I may try it again and update this review.
