WooCommerce Shipping & Tax

Description

WooCommerce Shipping & Tax makes basic eCommerce features like shipping more reliable by taking the burden off of your site’s infrastructure.

With WooCommerce Shipping & Tax, critical services are hosted on Automattic’s best-in-class infrastructure, rather than relying on your store’s hosting. That means your store will be more stable and faster.
To use the features, simply install this plugin and activate the ones you want directly in your dashboard. As we add more services, you’ll see more features available directly in WooCommerce – making setup simpler.

The annoying Jetpack promo takes a quarter of the screen and can't be removed with the plugin.

I'm a little bummed because this seemed like a good solution for me as far as printing shipping labels go. I didn't have to leave my dashboard to print it out. But lately the system only delivers connection errors, and one time it charged me three times for a single shipping label I never even got to use and can't claim a refund for.

It requires the stupid jetpack nonsense. If I wanted to integrate with gatekeeprs, I wouldn't have gone to the trouble of setting up my own independent website. No. I don't want to be routed through your unnecessary crapola.

My store is brand new and so far the plugin works great for calculating taxes. I'm not using the shipping part, that part is calculated by the dropshipper I was a little confused at first because it was showing a lot of TAX: 0.00, but remember that you need to collect sales tax from customers where you have a tax nexus. I only have a nexus to Washington State so when I ship an order within the state the sales tax is calculated correctly. Woocommerce uses your store address as your “tax nexus”. So far so good.
