Thomas the Bear

Description

Thomas is a small teddy bear. He first appeared as a hidden Easter egg
inside Google Picasa, placed there by the development team as a tribute
to Noah Grey — photoblogging pioneer, creator of Greymatter, and one of
the people who built what the web was supposed to be.

When Google discontinued Picasa in 2016, Thomas disappeared. This plugin
brings him back.

Keyboard shortcuts:

  • Ctrl+Shift+Y — Summon Thomas. Press repeatedly for more bears.
  • Ctrl+Shift+Z — Read the story of Noah Grey and Thomas.
  • ESC or Click — Clear all bears.

Thomas loads on the front end only. No admin pages, no settings,
no database tables. Just a bear.

Installation

  1. Upload the thomas-the-bear folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu.
  3. Press Ctrl+Shift+Y on any page.
