A WordPress plugin which shows the current template file name, the current theme name, and included template files’ name in the toolbar. If you like this plugin, you can buy me a coffee! 😉

Why are updates being issued that don't actually change anything other than the version number, like this? "No functional change at all except the version number in the plugin php file and donation url." This just wastes all your user's time doing pointless plugin updates to our sites. The last three updates were the same. Apart from this, the plugin works fine and is a very useful development tool.

We build some pretty robust themes and it can be easy to lose track of what page a template is using. This saves me so much time in troubleshooting and updating templates! Great plugin!

Not seeing the template info? In the WordPress admin area, under Users, find the entry for the administrative login you are using. Click the edit link. Look for a checkbox named Toolbar. Make sure that is checked/enabled and the setting is saved (Update Profile). You should now see the template info, assuming you are visiting the site with the same browser you used to log into the sites's WordPress admin. You can do this by having different tabs open in the browser. This is not mentioned in the plugin FAQ. Otherwise, this plugin displays the template information as advertised. It can be very useful for tracking down obscure PHP problems inside template files.
